I shared in Church late last year that one of the subtle strategies of the devil is to affect the expectation and morale of people for year 2021 by the way 2020 ended. The world is still grappling with another wave of Covid-19 as we entered the new year. But this must not affect what you see about the new year. Choose to see divine purpose and possibility, not the pandemic.

Friend, God is only limited by what we can see. Even though God is omnipotent, our capacity to see is what determines how much of His power that can be effectual in our lives (Ephesians 3:20). This is why the greatest blessing you can have this season is the blessing of vision. This was the wise choice that Blind Bartimaeous made (Mark 10:46-52).

“Moreover the word of the LORD came unto me, saying, Jeremiah, what do you see? And I said, I see a rod of an almond tree. Then said the LORD unto me, you have well seen: for I will hasten my word to perform it (Jeremiah 1:11-12). It is what you see that God can hasten to perform. Our capacity to see is what gives God the permission to act on our behalf.

The life of Abraham did not significantly change until he saw what God wanted him to see (Genesis 13:14-17). What about you? Are you seeing what God wants you to see? Are you seeing better, farther and clearer? Like that blind man that Jesus healed, some people need a second touch this season; they need to see clearly (Mark 8:22-25). The clearer your vision the better your manifestation.

Understand that vision leaks; you need to keep the vision before you as you go on this year. Never exchange divine vision for human opinion. What is it that God has shown you? Listen, not everyone can understand or interpret your vision because not everyone saw what you saw or heard what you heard. Run away from vision killers, connect with vision helpers like Elizabeth (Genesis 37:4-8, Luke 1:39-45).

This year, embrace divine vision and run with it. As much as life would throw stuff at you, you need to ensure that you don’t submit your vision at the altar of life’s circumstances. No matter what happens around you this year, sustain the vision. Keep it in front of you. Run with it. Let it guide your steps, dictate your lifestyle and motivate you to action (Proverbs 29:18). You will succeed!
