In my years of pastoring, I have discovered that those who come into Church newly often have amazing testimonies to share quickly that you wonder, “what about those who have been here for years?” What I noticed is that, unlike old timers, the newbies are often always excited about the Church and the local Church pastor. Their receptivity is also very high; they soak in the word and run with it as if their whole life depends on it.
Friend, the anointing flows on the channel of estimation (1 Thessalonians 5:12-13). This is why you must see your man of God beyond the natural (Matthew 16:16-18, 2 Corinthians 5:17). The truth is, ministers of the gospel are carriers of Grace (Romans 15:29). They are conduits via which the inheritances of God’s people are passed to them.
Whenever the devil wants to shortchange a man, he would cause him to be blind to who and what God is bringing his way (Isaiah 30:20-21). This is why you can be suffering from the same stuff that is available in the Grace you have ignored or despised. In fact, what you lack in your life is a revelation of a Grace you have despised, ignored or are ignorant of.
God has ordained Grace for you in the local Church (Psalms 20:2). The truth is, God does not bless individuals, He blesses families (Genesis 12:1-3, Psalms 68:6). And He uses the ministry of the local Church pastor to release such blessings. This is why the way you treat and respond to your pastor would determine how much of Kingdom blessings you enjoy.
We can be under the same pastor, in the same local Church and have different manifestation of Graces in our lives. This is directly a function of our posture around the anointed and the anointing. Perhaps, the place where familiarity with the anointed is so common is the local Church, even Jesus could not do much in His own base because they were too familiar with Him (Matthew 13:54-58).
As you attend Church, I want you to position yourself for the highest level of impartation of divine blessings. Don’t see and receive your pastor or ministers of the gospel in the flesh. Know that they are imperfect people with perfect calling and Grace (2 Corinthians 4:6-7). Look beyond their humanity, weaknesses and faults. Tap into what they carry for your destiny. You will succeed!
