Have you ever attempted moving from your lane to another lane while driving, or from your position on a queue to another, when you later discovered that the lane you left is actually the lane you should have stayed? Other people’s lane appears faster and better than yours until you go there and get stuck. In life, you need to be contented with staying on your lane if you would achieve greatness.

“They shall run like mighty men; they shall climb the wall like men of war; and they shall march every one on his ways, and they shall not break their ranks” (Joel 2:7). This is the description of men of purpose and destiny that God is raising these last days. They will march in their own ways, they will not break their ranks.

End time army are focused and orderly. They understand that they are king in their own domain. They know that their success or effectiveness is tied to the preciseness of their location. While they appreciate and celebrate what God is doing in and with others, they never downplay on the workings of God in their own life. They take ownership of their place and are determined to make a difference there.

You are most effective in the place ordained for you by God. This is why you must be clear about what and where God has called you into. You cannot afford to be a jack of all trade and master of none. We don’t just follow what is trending, we follow what has been chosen for us. While it’s okay to receive challenge and motivation from other people’s success stories, we must not attempt to change our course.

“As a bird that wanders from her nest, so is a man that wanders from his place” (Proverbs 27:8). You are fitted, equipped and anointed for your place. As easily as a fish can swim, it becomes demobilized when it attempts to get outside of water. Just as a train is not designed to move on the same road with cars, you cannot ‘compete’ outside your location. Rather than adding grace to your education, find your grace and educate it.

As you go into today and this week, I want you to refuse the temptation of straying from your place. Stop comparing yourself with others (2 Corinthians 10:12). Stop envying what others are doing or having. Locate yourself in divine purpose and pursue it with focus and commitment. Men of success are men of One Thing (Philippians 3:13-14). Find that one thing and stay there! You will succeed!
