One of the mysteries of the Faith Life is the audacity to act in the face of contradictory evidence. Someone has rightly defined Faith as “acting as if it is so because it is so, so that it can be so”. If you can master this truth you would have your faith work for you beyond your widest imaginations. You need to take consistent actions in the face of contradictory evidences.

The burden of a man of faith is dealing with contradictory evidence. For Abraham, the scripture says that, “…he considered not his body now dead…” (Romans 4:19). Abraham chose not to consider the evidence of weakness in his body that is contrary to the word that God has spoken to him. He chose to believe God, regardless (Romans 4:20).

“Now, Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen” (Hebrews 11:1). Actually, Faith is an evidence. This is why our Faith is not a baseless pursuit but one that is based on conviction from God’s word. Whereas, the evidence in the physical is there, but a man of Faith chooses to go by the evidence of the invisible; he sees what others are not seeing (2 Corinthians 5:7).

Faith is not just believing something, it is seeing something. It is the clarity of what you see that keeps you focused on the possibilities that exist contrary to the negative circumstances staring at you. Until you see what God is saying, you don’t have Faith yet (Habakkuk 2:1). God’s word must paint pictures in our heart. These pictures become the evidence that influences our actions (2 Corinthians 4:18).

Faith is a focus. If you focus on the invisible, you would do the impossible and achieve the incredible (Hebrews 11:27). If you focus on the visible negative circumstances around you, you would become demobilized in your journey of destiny. Focus on your healing and health, not on the sickness in your body (1 Peter 2:24). Focus on the riches of His glory, not on the debts that are piling up (Philippians 4:19). Focus on the victory of the cross, not on the mounting pressures of life (Romans 8:37, 1 John 5:4). Focus your Faith rightly! You will succeed!
