“The sun comes out from his home like a bridegroom. He is very happy to run fast, like a very strong man” (Psalms 19:5 ESV).

You need the right doze of motivation to succeed in life and fulfill destiny. The Church today is full of people who are so loaded with scriptures but are bereaved of motivation. Ministers of God must be careful to balance the supply of understanding with the supply of motivation. Motivation without understanding will only produce people who are excited but has nothing to show for it as they go out there only to realise that they do not have what it takes to deliver.

Understanding without motivation will only produce people who have possibility only in their mind without but are not taking steps to make it a reality in their lives. I am tilted into thinking that people with little understanding but great motivation will generate more results in life than people with great understanding with little or no motivation. However, a man with an equal doze of deep understanding and great motivation will be an unstoppable success going somewhere to happen. You need the balance of both.

“…Why sit we here till we die?” (2 Kings 7:3b). It is interesting to note that one of the greatest lessons on motivation and unusual success was taught by the most unlikely group of people (four lepers). They were in a very bad situation but they had the right motivation. Their motivation was founded on a depth of understanding that is so unusual. They reasoned that, perhaps, the worst is already happening to them, but that they could turn it around if only they can take steps; they had nothing to lose, after all (2 Kings 7:4).

What about you? Will you allow your circumstances to demotivate you or you would let it be the reason for your motivation? Listen, the very reason why the devil wants you down and out can be the very reason why you go all out to succeed if you can be rightly motivated. It is not because things are bad that you are demotivated, it is because you are demotivated that things remain bad. The right motivation would change the game for you.

This 2nd half of the year, choose to be motivated. Go for motivation. Stay motivated on a daily basis. Go away from demotivators. Stop attending a Church that keeps dampening your morale and instilling fear in your heart. You know some people attend Church and they leave more discouraged than they came in. A great Church is one that lifts your spirit. It is one that is a fire lighter to your soul. It is one that empowers you to step into work on Monday and go all out to make things happen to the glory of God.

May you remain motivated all through this season, your dreams and visions become fulfilled beyond your widest imagination in Jesus name!
